Adventure Pack
Explore many different aspects of adventure trekking in the beautiful Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Our first activity will be rock climbing at nearby Rick’s Rocks where we’ll cheer each other on through climbs of all skill levels. The next day will be spent high atop the ridges of the Appalachian Mountains, taking in some of the best views around. After this we’ll pick up our bikes and spend the day riding the remote path of the Paulinskill Valley Trail. The Delaware River is the site of our next adventure- an overnight canoe trip featuring swimming, fishing, and watching the sunset. We’ll end with with a chance to challenge ourselves on Camp Mason’s high ropes course. This is a great opportunity to sample the best the Delaware Water Gap has to offer! Intermediate swim level required.

Spokes n Splash *New itinerary for 2009!*
Bring your bike and sense of adventure and be prepared for an action packed week! We’ll start out at base camp exploring the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Stokes State Forest, and other nearby biking hot spots. These rides will feature some of the most scenic road and trail routes in the state. Next we’ll head out on a two night canoe trip on the Delaware River. This scenic border between New Jersey and Pennsylvania is a great place for swimming, fishing, and bald eagle watching. If you like excitement on the trail and in the water then this multi-sport adventure is for you! Intermediate swim level required.

Boots and Paddles
Our wilderness sampler! Learn all about adventure trekking as we explore the beautiful Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. This 72,000 acre scenic wilderness will test your resolve and reward your accomplishments. We will start by backpacking for three days and two nights on the famous Appalachian Trail. While not the entire Maine to Georgia route, we are going to trek a truly wild stretch high atop the ridge of the Kittatinny Mountains. Then we swap boots for paddles to canoe down the free-flowing Delaware River where you’ll enjoy fishing, swimming, and camping out on the moonlit banks each night. Intermediate swim level required.

Mountain Adventure *New itinerary for 2009!*
Join a fantastic adventure through some of the most spectacular scenery in the region!
The 30 mile West Rim Trail follows Pine Creek Gorge, “the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania”. It is known as one of the best trails in the state and the spectacular vistas look out over the gorge and the surrounding peaks. For four days we’ll be surrounded by the wilderness of state forest land and the trail will be our home as we carry everything we need on our backs. At the end of the week we’ll drop our packs to bike a flat rail-trail by the banks of Pine Creek, checking out waterfalls along the way. Be part of a select group of trekkers exploring forests and peaks while rediscovering that “wilderness within”.

Adventure Pack Plus
All the best adventures in the area packed into two fun filled weeks! We’ll hike, bike, climb, and canoe our way through some of the most scenic places in New Jersey. Our trek starts with a bike ride along the beautiful Paulinskill Valley Trail. Later in the week we’ll advance to trails in High Point and Stephens State Parks as well as the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Our hikes will be along the Kittatinny Ridge, affording us some of the most beautiful views of the region. We’ll also test our climbing skills as we progress from our climbing wall to some awesome local faces. The culmination of our trip will be a 2 night canoe trip on the Delaware River where we’ll paddle, swim in the refreshing waters, and camp out along the banks. Don’t miss out on this multi-sport adventure! Intermediate swim level required.

River Runners
The Delaware River is the last pure, free-flowing river left in the east. We’ll pick up our paddles and launch our canoes in the Upper Delaware, making sure we hit the best rapids the river has to offer. Our journey will take us under bridges and cliffs and through the best bald eagle watching area around. We’ll fish, swim, soak up the sun, and paddle down through the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, camping along the river each night. A great wilderness experience for trekkers interested in canoeing, nature, and having a blast! Intermediate swim level required.

Extreme Rock Climbing
AB’s very popular “ERC” is back again for the climbing enthusiast and would-be climbing enthusiast! We’ll begin at base camp learning climbing skills from standard to pro-technical but most importantly, we’ll learn to become safe and careful climbers. Once we’ve got the basics down we’ll head out to the cliffs to practice our skills as a group. We’ll begin at local Rick’s Rocks and Allamuchy Mountain, increasing the challenge with each climb. Next, we’ll head up to the famous Shawangunks in New York where we’ll boulder and get a chance to see some expert climbers show their stuff. The culmination of the week is a fantastic route high above the Delaware River. Our instructors are experienced and eager to help you become a great climber. Go beyond your standard summer routine and get out there and go extreme!

Ropes and Boats
If you crave action on the cliffs and in the water then this trip is for you! After learning to belay at Mason’s 45 foot climbing wall we’ll head out to nearby Rick’s Rocks, sure to provide us with exciting climbs and rewarding views. Next, we’ll tackle the crags of Allamuchy Mountain, where we’ll explore some more challenging routes. After camping out by the banks of the Musconetcong River we’ll explore hidden bouldering spots and maybe even search for a nearby geocache. Our climbing adventure will be followed by a 2 night canoe trip on the Delaware River where we’ll be sure to get in some swimming, exploring, and bald eagle watching. This trip on the rocks and rivers is sure to be a blast! Intermediate swim level required.
